Released on KBTZ Recordings, Broken Poetz are back with Soul Searching.

You may remember me talking about these guys previously, but for those of you that have been living in a hole, Broken Poetz are rapping duo, D.Know & Mystero.

The first hint that this album was in motion was back in 2014, the pair released 'Made Up My Mind' produced by established dyad, Runone & Molotov, predominantly known for working with High Focus' Fliptrix.

Directed By Oliver Whitehouse.

It's been two years in the making, but the album is finally here in full fruition. Presumptuous of me to say, but I just knew it was going to be pure gold after the sample used in the intro. Sam Cooke enters humming a representation of what soul really means, and the search begins...

Joining them on their venture is Twizzy, with a feature verse on track 'Raiders Of The Lost Art'. Dropping structured similes, combined with comedy and quick fire flows, this one sets the standard for the whole album.

Tough Love, a personal favourite, plucks at the heartstrings, as does 'You Lied' featuring CW Jones. Hozay uses a style in his composition that makes an instant classic. Other feature verses come from the likes of Cutta Chase & Upfront MC (Split Prophets), adding their own unique touch to the singles they appear on.

Men Who Will Be Men Today, another favourite, was the second single to be made into video format courtesy of Simon 'Aukes' Stolland of Aukes Media.

This album is not one to be taken lightly, the concepts are deep. No review will do it justice, every element needs to be heard. They're depicting their views, whilst letting us walk a mile in their shoes. I found myself picking a new favourite after every listen.

So I suggest you go and get a copy now … do a little Soul Searching yourself! ;)
