'Paint' is the brand new project from Chairman Maf.

Mr.Maf, an independent producer originally from Cambridge, now residing in Sheffield, has been blessing us with beats for little over a decade.

Following last years release of '1976' Chairman Maf is back with 'Paint'. 13 instrumentals taking the finest collection of samples, combining them with cinematic movie clips and then injecting them with pure soul.

I have to say, this album was a refreshing change, instantly lifting me out of my dreary winter state.

The primary foundations are all there, yet it’s clear Maf's palette is a more refined one. Not slacking in any aspect on production.

I'm a firm believer that beats themselves, tell a story. Words aren't always needed to 'complete' a track, just simply let the music do the talking.

Paint is a fine example of that belief.

Depicting an array of emotions throughout, these instrumentals are not to be rapped over, they are to be embraced as they are.
