"...I'm not in love with Saturday, I'm living Lukewarm anarchy. I'm relatively sober and I think this night's over. Wouldn't you agree?..."
This incredibly infectious chorus is taken from 'No Socialite' the opening track from the newly released EP, 'White Sofa Songs'. The man behind this four track gem is Jake McRae, a singer/songwriter from Lancashire.

Jake started off in a band three years ago, accompanying them on stage and in the studio, but has recently decided it's time to try it alone. His first solo project 'White Sofa Songs' was released last month, and after listening just once, you'll be hooked.
After 'No Socialite' we lead into 'Struggling' a personal favourite. The lyrics are spot on. When one is in turmoil, they often can't find the words, yet Jake seems to do this perfectly in the chorus alone. 'Coffee' is the story of two meeting over, believe it or not, coffee. Jake paints a scene so vivid, you feel as though you are sat in the coffee shop yourself, watching it all unfold. The end track is a light-hearted rendition of a guy falling for a girl and wanting to see her...'Naked'.

Lyrically, there are no complexities. The track titles reflect what each song is about, and the story unfolding in each is a relatable one. The way Jake constructs and delivers his choruses makes them so catchy, they'll embed in your brain for all eternity.
With the Summer and festival season fast-approaching, Jake is all set to get on the road. Even recruiting a band of musicians, he has previously worked with, to accompany him along his journey.
