Big J (24) is a London based rapper best known for his side splitting appearances on Don't Flop.

When I say side splitting, this dude will literally make you wet yourself. When he teamed up with Lefty for a 2 on 2 against Villun & Carloss, I nearly died from dehydration, the amount of tears I cried!

Some may argue that Big J doesn’t have the lyrical skill needed to compete in a rap battle league, but he has stuck around longer than most, his bars are improving massively (no pun) and the audience absolutely love him. Sometimes, personality and charisma win over skill. It's the old 'Bars over Jokes' argument, but I'm not gonna go there!

Since entering Don't Flop, J has released a few tracks, usually in joke form via YouTube. This dude loves dressing up more than Paul O'Grady!

In March this year, J released Overload.

Overload is appropriately titled. Packed full of filthy, grimey beats and features from the likes of Lady Shocker, Young Gattas and tag team partner Lefty. It's no secret that J is a proper G, so the road and smoking references are high!

Towards the end of the E.P, you hear a glimmer of sensitivity in track Don’t Wanna. It choked me up a little, listening to his honesty. It didn't last long though, as another stink face beat entered and the E.P continued.

More recently, J has released, New Me. Switching it up slightly and sitting comfortably over some rather beautiful, hip-hop infused beats. I much prefer him on Hip-Hop than Grime, but that's my personal opinion.

'Make Sure You Hear' Produced by Crowley Beatz, is my favourite off the E.P. Throughout his lyrics, you hear J reference his daughter, it's clear she is very important to him.

It was slightly strange listening to Big J display his more serious side, but I suppose everyone has to grow up at some point! ;)
