Andre Devaugn & The Seventh Groove Consortium - Reflection - Lokossa Music 2014

Reflection by Andre Devaugn & The Seventh Groove Consortium, is what my music collection has been lacking. With its rare groove/soul vibe and smooth vocals from Andre himself, this album captures that raw, obscure 70's blues style perfectly. The album instantly lures you in, the guitar control alone on ‘Movin Up’ is stand out for me. ‘Reflection’ the title track, is somewhat beautiful in its intro, again you can hear the complex finger work on the electric guitar, amazing to the ear. ‘Sonny’s Safehouse’ is my personal favourite, the spine tingling vocals make for a truly emotive piece. When listening to this album, you have to remember that Andre is responsible not only for the main vocals, but the guitar, bass, keys and backing vocals. Released through Lokossa Music on 28th April, Reflection is merely the beginning for this multi-talented artist!
